And we’re back!
6 day into my 10 days of Free Preschool Lesson Plans and today I’m bring you a free week of plans about plants!
We did a bunch of these a couple of months ago and had so much fun with it! My girls and their Dad have even planted a little mini garden on the back deck and are continuing to learn about plants as they care for it.
My Mom has a green thumb, but it must have skipped a generation because I can’t keep houseplants alive. Luckily my husband is practically an aspiring horticulturist who’s taken to the task of keeping my houseplants alive.
Luckily the activities in this week’s plant themed preschool lesson plans don’t require a green thumb! So if you’re like me, you can just get these little projects started and then hand the results off to the pros!
Don’t forget to check out my other free plans, as well as tons of free resources from the other bloggers I’ve teamed up for this series. We’re also still running an amazing giveaway, so be sure to stay tuned til the end of the post!

Preschool Books about Plants
There are lots of cute books this week! I saw quite a few deals used on these on Amazon. I was able to grab many of them at my public library as well!
For your convenience, this post contains affiliate links. If you purchase from these links I may make a small commission at no cost to you.
Preschool Crafts about Plants
This sweet little craft is definitely a keepsake!
This fun little craft is a great way to teach about parts of a plant!
This is a cute little activity that also helps kids work on their names!
If you don’t have access to freshly picked flowers you could probably make do with fake flowers also. This links to a post where I you can buy a packet with these templates. You could easily freehand the templates for a kid to cut out. However, the post also has a ton of other cute ideas!
Plant Experiments for Preschoolers
This is a super fun activity that demonstrates how seeds are spread around.
This experiment teaches students the best liquid to use to help plants grow.
I love this activity and could see it helping to challenge picky eaters to try new foods.
I found this pin, but no link to the site. The site on the paper seems to have expired. But I did find a free great free printable on TPT.
This neat little experiment demonstrates how water moves through leaves!
This is a fun activity that I did almost ever year in the classroom. Students love being able to watch the seeds “hatch” before their eyes!
Plant Worksheets for Preschoolers
There were lots of awesome freebies included in this week’s lessons. Lots of skills are practiced in these pages!
Hang tight! I’ve still got 4 more days of freebies in my 10 day series! Tomorrow I’ll be bring you adorable dinosaur themed plans. Kids love dinosaurs!!
