Peppa Pig Birthday Party

My niece is a big fan of Peppa Pig and recently turned 3.  So deciding her bday party theme was easy!   While we couldn’t have a muddy puddles in true Peppa Pig fashion, we did have access to a pool.  So a Peppa Pig pool party was born!

I am all about the party planning, so helping my sister throw my sweet niece’s party, was non-negotiable for her.  She’d be fine with balloons and cake, but when you’re my sister, you don’t get off that easy.

But…you also get a free party planner who makes tons of decorations for you!  So being my sister is not without it’s perks!

Invitations

So, I couldn’t talk my sister into traditional invitations.  She wanted to keep it simple, and with everyone being on Facebook these days, a Facebook event invite was the easiest thing to do.

But I did manage to talk her into me making a super cute event cover.  I had some Peppa Pig clipart I’d bought from Etsy, and I used it to make a simple little banner for the event.

Outfit

So really – she didn’t have much of an opportunity to wear her outfit since it was a pool party.  I made her a shirt though, with a Peppa pig SVG I found on Etsy.  We had a quick 3 year old photo session and got some really cute shots!

Food!

There are lots of cute Peppa Pig food ideas on Pinterest.  We kept it simple with:

“Piggies in a Blanket” – hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls

“Papa Pig’s Pickles”

“Mr. Potato’s Chips”

“Muddy Puddles” – chocolate pudding

And an adorable cake my sister had a friend of her’s make.

Decorations

I designed her a banner to match the food tents I’d created to go with the foods.

I also made her a Peppa sign to keep in her room after the party.  I found the scalloped chalkboard at Target in the Dollar spot ($3)  back in spring and bought several.  This was the perfect project for it!

These cute centerpieces were super easy and cheap!  My sister painted old formula cans with spray paint and I found some Peppa decorations on clearance at Walmart.  I cut some 3s out in glitter cardstock with my Silhouette and hot glued them, and a Peppa cut-out to a pink paper straw.  I used tissue paper and Easter grass to fill the cans.  I added some ribbon and a flower also.

I also made her a chalkboard with all her favorite things.  If you’ve seen my previous party posts, you may already know I design and sell these on Etsy as well.  You can find my listing here.

Favors

All of the little guests at her party were girls.  So in an ode’ to Peppa and all things girly, we had fingernail polish for the guests.  I added a cute little tag that matched all the printables.

Unfortunately, it thundered the whole time we were at the pool so the kids only got to swim for a few minutes.  They still seemed to have  a great time.  My niece really enjoyed herself and couldn’t have been cuter in the process!

When my niece celebrated her 4th birthday in June, we had a Peppa Pig themed party, too! Who doesn’t love Peppa Pig anyway?
