Last year, my then four year old fell in love for this first time.
“He is dreeeeaammy,” she would purr. “Oh, Adri-kins.”
Luckily, her “Adri-kins” wasn’t real, rather a character on her favorite TV show. The character Adrian doubles as a superhero who saves the world with a pig-tailed super girl named Ladybug. Their true identies are unknown to each other and Ladybug’s daytime persona, Marionette, secretly pines for Adrian, unaware that he is her akuma fighting accomplice. My four year old watched her being in love, and decided she was too.
This anime style cartoon was apparently a hit with every girl in my life, and when my sweet niece turned 6 last year, she only wanted a “Miraculous” party. My youngest was a little upset at first because she didn’t want to share her beau, but she reluctantly agreed so long as her cousin agreed that she would not marry him.
So I got to work, determined to create the cutest Miraculous Ladybug Birthday Party ever!

Miraculous Ladybug Outfit
This year’s outfit was not my doing. My niece decided she really wanted a Ladybug costume so my sister shopped around until she found one. This little gem was on Amazon and has been perfect for our little ladybug girl!
Miraculous Ladybug Birthday Party Food
We had a lot of fun with the party food! My favorite was this adorable ladybug fruit tray made of strawberries and blackberries.
My sister also made these adorable ladybug jello cups. They were super easy! All it took was a Sharpie for the dots, and construction paper and googly eyes for the eyes.
The licorice sticks were supposed to be Cat Noir’s Batons, but I forgot to make the food tents with our catchy phrases. My sister also got some red Twizzlers because she said no one really likes the black ones.
My oldest niece made some DELICIOUS red velvet chocolate chip cookies to match our ladybug theme.
We grabbed some Cheeto’s Cheesy Paws to represent Cat Noir.
My sister also started some cheese and crackers that were supposed to look more like ladybugs than they actually turned out. She only put olives on a few because my niece quickly voiced her displeasure at the sight of olives.
My sister had her cake lady create a super cute Ladybug Cake. The baton and yo-yo were rice krispies covered in fondant! It was as cute as it was delicious!
Finally, we topped things off with some Ladybug Juice (aka Hawaiian Punch). I did remember the cute sign for this one!

Decorations for Miraculous Ladybug Birthday Party
We kept the decorations fairly simple and tried to incorporate lots of black and red.
I made some fun centerpieces with my Silhouette. I simply cut out some floral shapes on some ladybug digital scrapbook paper I printed on cardstock and black cardstock, and then added a graphic cutout on white. We attached them to cute straws and sat them in jars filled with black rocks. I tied a red tulle ribbon around them to add to the fun.
Of course, we had to include my little ones “boyfriend” Cat Noir. I assembled that centerpiece in the same manner.
I found a Miraculous Ladybug poster online and printed and framed it. We added some of my niece’s toys around it to highlight her favorite characters.
Our venue wasn’t the prettiest, so we tried to dress it up with lots of color. We used red tablecloths and wrapped the columns throughout the room in red streamer.
My sister scattered some “akumas” on the tables. She used butterflies she picked up at the Dollar Tree and painted to match the shows. These sweet little butterflies actually turn people into villains in the show!
I also made a banner for the birthday girl using the same graphics and digital papers I used for the centerpieces.
Since our party, a ton of Miraculous party supplies have popped up on Amazon. If you’re not the DIY type, be sure to check these out!
Miraculous Ladybug Party Goodies
In lieu of party favors my sister decided to do a pinata stuffed with candy and pass out bags for the kids to keep theirs in. She made this pinata herself and did one side with a Ladybug theme and the other with a Cat Noir theme. The candy and pinatas were a huge hit (literally) with the party guests and they got a ton of candy to take home!
She also created a super cute station where the kids could create their own ladybug masks. There were jewels and puffy paint to add some extra pizazz to the masks. She left some fun coloring sheets as well.
This party was super fun and SUPER cute! My niece (and my daughters) loved it so much! My youngest even asked to repeat it for her next birthday (but we ended up going with a skating themed party – stay tuned for that!).
