What kiddo isn’t a fan of Minnie and Mickey Mouse? In fact, I have been to many a Minnie Mouse birthday party. Today I want to share one I helped plan!
So..full disclosure…this party wasn’t exactly mine. It was for my cutie-pie neice’s 1st birthday. But I promised I helped a bunch!
My niece was a big fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse’s “Hot Dog” song when she was a tiny tot. She used to do the cutest little dance to it. So of course my sister chose Minnie Mouse for her 1st Birthday.
Invitations
I used a picture from her cake smash session and designed the invites in Photoshop. Again, I did black out the address for privacy purposes. This invite was for our personal use, but I do design and sell other invitations in my Etsy store here, if you are interested.
Venue
There aren’t large party places near her house, so she rented out the community area of the local fire department. Just like our first birthday venue, it wasn’t the most modern of places, but served the purpose perfectly.
Outfit
We got her onsie from a local vendor who sells embroidered shirts and made her tutu out of an elastic band, tulle and polka dot ribbon. She also wore her outfit in this pics for her cake smash session!
Food
There are so many things you can do with food for Mickey Mouse parties! My sister came up with these and I designed some cute little food tents to match them. We had:
Goofy’s Goldfish & Minnie Mouse Bows
Clarabelle’s Chips & Dip
Donald’s Cheese and Quackers
Hot Diggity Dogs
Pluto’s Punch
And these precious little cupcakes my Sister made!
Decorations
We put pictures of the cake smash on the tales in little frames I grabbed from Michael’s Craft store. My sister spray painted the cans and made them look Minnie Mouse-ish and set them in the center also. These would make really cute vases with some pretty white and pink flowers also.
I’d handcut a cute little banner for her cake smash pictures and we cut that up and used it in places, including on her high chair.
I’d also designed another birthday banner in Photoshop, which we hung on the food table. I made the foam ball centerpiece myself. It was a little time consuming but turned out really cute. I plan to post a tutorial on this coming up as her 3rd birthday is around the corner and I was going to make a Peppa Pig one for her!
My sister found these cute hanging Poms at Walmart! She placed them around the room along with scattering balloons around.
I also made a birthday board poster for my neice. Again, this design is for personal use but if you are interested in other designs I can do, check out my Etsy store here.
My sister grabbed some cute pink bags and packed them full of Minnie Mouse favors. They were a big hit with all the kids.
It was the perfect little party for the perfect little niece. I’m pretty sure she had a fantastic time too!
