Flashcards

By now you should be able to do lots of review games each day with your kiddo.  Be sure to mix it up.  You do not want them to just memorize the letters in ABC order.  They need to know them independent of each other and out of sequence.

This weeks card should be practiced like this, “j-jam-/j/.”

Books

As you are reading these books, be sure you are emphasizing the sounds that you are working on each week.  It’s a good idea to re-read books and search for J letters or /j/ sounds.  Additionally, start the conversation about how pictures and sounds can be clues as you read.

If you have trouble finding this week’s books, don’t forget to check out Amazon for some great deals on used books!

My girls love pink and sparkles and all things girly, so they had a blast with this blingy craft!

We found some inexpesive stick on gems at Dollar General for like a buck a sheet.  We even had some leftover for crafts later on.
