I have been to a TON of one year old birthday parties in the past few years!

Every time I struggle and scramble last minute to find a gift.  Thank God for Amazon!  I say every time I’m going to create a list of ideas so I can just draw from that and here I am, finally getting around to it.

I truly hope, if you find yourself searching for gift ideas, this list will benefit you as well!  Like I said, I’ve known a ton of 1 year olds recently, so I’ve got the inside connection to all the best toys!  I’ve also tried to include some at multiple price points and keep them unisex.  These are sure to be a hit with any tiny tot!

Bath Toys

Bath toys are always a hit with little ones.  I love how this one can also help develop those fine motor skills also. This simple toy will provide tons of bathtub fun!

Sensory Balls

These are another great toy for fine motor skills.  My youngest loves rolling and throwing them.  They are great for sensory play as well. They even bounce!

Puzzles

We love Melisa and Doug puzzles!   They can be great ways to develop vocabulary and hand eye coordination.   We have the farm animal one and have played with it for years now.

Sorting Cube

This is also something that will keep the kids entertained for a good bit.  Like the previous suggestions, it’s great for fine moter skills and hand eye coordination.  As an added bonus it teaches about shapes!

Discovery House Toy

I’m not sure what it is about this toy, but both of my kids loved it!  It’s very interactive and educational, which I love.  They can open doors, push buttons, turns lights on and off; all while learning vocabulary and cute songs.  This is one of my favorite birthday gift ideas for a 1 year old!

Nesting/Stacking Toy

Little kids love to stack stuff, and this gift idea makes it easy!  Melisa and Doug make some of the best children’s toys out there and this one is no exception.  Of course my teacher heart loves that it teaches about farm animals and numbers.  You can’t go wrong with this one!

Leap Frog My Pal Toy

This cute pup comes in purple and green and can be programmed with your child’s name!  It has tons of fun songs and is super cuddly!  We love our Violet!

Vtech Rhyme and Discover Book

This is another great educational and interactive gift! It is very durable (even with many drops, kicks and throws ours still works) and easy to clean. We have a couple of these and they are great for independent play!

Fisher Price Smart Stages Chair

This toy has been a smash hit with our baby!  She has been obsessed with sitting in chairs and loves this one.  She used to love to sit in it and snack while playing with the buttons.  Now she drags it around and and uses it to climb!  This thing gets played with daily!  It comes in pink and yellow.

Play Keys

I’ve mentioned these before in a previous post but they are worth mentioning again!  These keys are amazing and helped prevent my own keys from getting lost many times!  I don’t know why kids are fascinated with keys, but these are just lifelike enough that they will satisfy your kiddo’s curiosity!  They make cool noises and even feel real!
