Frozen Pool Party – Birthday Party

My sweet niece celebrated her fourth birthday this year.  As you’ve probably figured by now, my nieces have me wrapped.  So when she asked for a Frozen birthday party, I knew I had to get my party planning in gear and help with a fun little fiesta!

Since she has a summer birthday, her Mom decided to have the birthday at the pool again.  We all know Olaf dreams of summer days, so I’m pretty sure he’d approve!

Outfit

Like last year – she didn’t have much of an opportunity to wear her outfit since it was a pool party.  I made her a shirt though, with an Elsa silhouette SVG I found on Etsy.  She wanted glitter and Elsa colors, and I happily agreed!

Food!

There are tons of cute Frozen  food ideas on Pinterest.  We kept it simple with:

“Snow Flurries” – cups of popcorn decorated to look like Olaf

“Do you wanna build a snowman?” bar – filled with marshmallows, pretzels, chocolate chips and orange Tic Tacs.  Everything you need to make a perfectly delicious snowman!

“We finish each other’s sandwiches” – Pimento cheese sandwiches – the food tend is missing in this picture though.

“Sven’s Snacks” – a fresh vegetable tray

“Edible Olafs” – cheese sticks that were supposed to have Olaf drawn on, but didn’t because we ran out of time.

“Coronation Cake” – cupcakes from Sam’s Club because her usual cake maker was on vacation.

Decorations

I designed her a banner to match the food tents I’d created to go with the foods.

I also made her a Frozen sign to keep in her room after the party.  I found the scalloped chalkboard at Target in the Dollar spot ($3)  back in spring and bought several.  It was actually pink, like the one I used in her Peppa Pig party, but I painted it to match the rest of the decor.

These cute centerpieces were super easy and cheap!  I picked up some cups at the Dollar store for the bottom.  I cut some 4s out in glitter cardstock with my Silhouette and hot glued them, and a Frozen cut-out (from Amazon) to a wooden skewer I’d also spray painted.  I used tissue paper and Easter grass to fill the cups.

I also made her a chalkboard with all her favorite things. This year’s was a little less durable as we forgot to glue it on foam board.  But it still turned out super cute.

Favors

My sister picked up treat bags and goodies at the Dollar tree.  She filled the bag with Frozen nicknacks, a ring pop and an ice pop for later.    I added a cute little tag that matched all the printables.

This year our weather was fantastic and the kids got to swim the whole time!  My niece had the best time
