As a photographer, pictures are so important to me. I love how pictures commemorate a moment in time. Looking back on pictures and reflecting on my girl’s growth is one of my favorite things to do.
So for me. Pictures on the first and last day of school are a necessity! In fact, as you’ll soon find out, I’m Extra extra on the first day of school and do a chalkboard too!
Beginning/ending of the year photos can show so much change. They showcase some of my favorite memories and I intend to do them until my girls leave home. To make it easier, I created these cute printable for them to hold on the first and last day of school. They go all the way through high school!
Today, I’m sharing them with you, as well as my quick and easy DIY frame that compliments them beautifully.
To grab yours, click here or on the image below to download them. I have included first day/last day signs from preschool-12th grade. I went ahead and printed all of mine and stuck them in a a filing cabinet for future use.
The frame was super easy. I just grabbed a cheap frame from Walmart and some spray paint. I popped the glass out and put it on a flattened cardboard box and sprayed away. A tip to remember for spray painting is to do thin, even layers in the same direction. This helps prevent runs.
I added my pictures, and there you have it! Easy peasy! How stinking cute is that?
I now have a super adorable sign that can be used again and again with both my girls!
I love this quick and easy craft. In the fall I’ll also share with you something else I do, that documents some little facts about my girls on their first days.
