For Father’s Day…one sure fire present win for Dad is pictures. Today I’m sharing with you 5 adorable and easy Father’s Day photo ideas along with free printables!
As a photographer, I love this kind of thing. Last year I did father’s day minis and thought it would be fun to offer a collection of ideas for anyone to use. I can’t wait to print these and share them with my husband on Father’s Day!
These are perfect for you last minute Mamas (typically including myself)! Just pose, click, print, and pop them in a frame!
Our Dad is Our Favorite Super Hero
These pictures are all sorts of adorable! Aren’t Daddies all little girls first super hero? I grabbed these super cute outfits on Amazon (I’ll link it below). They were so excited to use them and they made the perfect addition to our dress up wardrobe! Check out the sass on my biggest little!

We heart Dad feet
Depending on how many kids you have you can do different variations of this. For mine it was simplest just to write the words on their feet. Getting them to sit still for a picture was the hardest part. This would probably be one that is better done with older kids who can take direction somewhat. Still I love the result and how it captured their tiny feet!
Reasons we love Dad chalkboard
This one will only get better and better as they grow older. We may have stated a new tradition. I’m seriously thinking of compiling them in a book for one day. Obviously my youngest couldn’t really participate so my oldest threw out ideas for her. The end result was sweet and hilarious!
Getting them to cooperate for these pictures was next to impossible. I tried to do them first thing in the morning so they’d both be in good moods and cooperative. Those are lofty goals for kiddos their age though! We ended up “playing” on the porch while I snuck in pics as I could. There weren’t many successful takes!
Also, next year we will invest in some chalk pens. Those huge chalk crayons are really hard to write neatly with and they smudge super easily!
My chalkboard was also something I grabbed on Amazon. I actually bought it years ago and use it as a prop in my photography sessions.
Our Heart Belongs to Daddy
This is just the sweetest. I adore their little faces in this one. This picture was done with help from their grandma – hence the genuine smiles. I just popped the printable in a frame and grabbed a shot at the park.
Oh – and because I always get asked. Their outfits in almost all these pictures came from Belk. I bought them last year at their summer clearance for like $9 each! Who doesn’t love a good bargin? I stalk the sales racks just waiting for stuff like this to get marked down!

Dad Banner
This was actually a prop I made for some mini-sessions last year. It was soooo simple! I just a cardboard template and used it to cut the burlap pieces. Then I created a stencil with my silhouette (used 651 vinyl) and painted with some acrylic paint. Lastly, I hot glued them to some twine. That’s not the best way to secure them, but the banner only comes out once a year so it’s perfectly fine!
I loved how amazing the light was behind them. I think these and the super hero pics are my favs. Ok…who am I kidding. I love them all! We’re going to pop these (and the out-takes) into a mini photo album and add them to the gifts we are working on for Father’s Day.
Hopefully one of these ideas works for you! Looking for quick and easy ideas for what to buy Dad? Check out my list of Father’s Day Gift Ideas here.
