Today I’m back to working on my letter of the week lesson plan series.  I’ll be sharing some more preschool science lessons like yesterday’s soon, but wanted to share some more letter of the week posts since there are so many!

Today’s letter is H.  This letter is my daughter’s favorite letter for the sole fact that the word horse starts with H.  She is obsessed with horses (much like her Mama was).    The other crafts never stood a chance once she heard we were going to make a horse.   There’s also an awesome science experiment for you too!

Free Farm Animals Preschool Unit – Preschool Weekly Science Theme

So today I want to take a quick break from the letter of the week lesson plans and switch to something else I consider super fun – themed units- particularly themed science units! My letter of the week series have been some of my most popular posts, so I wanted to share some weekly science units also! First up is the always incredibly fun – farm animals!

Fun fact about me – I grew up on a farm of sorts. Most of my life we had horses, but through the years we had donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and more. I rode bareback, mucked barns, played in creeks – a true country girl!

The farm shut down years ago but I’m still a huge animal lover. All things cute and furry steal my heart (especially dogs and horses!). So I got super excited about this week’s unit plan.
