How I exploded my Pinterest traffic from 7K monthly viewers to 400 K

I’ve always been a huge fan of Pinterest. Before Pinterest existed, I was totally that girl cutting magazine articles and keeping them in a binder for reference. So when Pinterest entered the world back in 2010, I was beyond stoked. I am not sure exactly when my account was created, but it wasn’t too many months after Pinterest was introduced. It took no time for me to be absolutely hooked!

5 Fundamental Blog Design Tips

Your blog is the face of your brand. It’s like a living, breathing. advertisement of who you are, what you represent, and why people should like and listen to you. For this reason, your blog design is crucial to the success of the blog.

I didn’t study design in college, but post collegiate experience led me to pursue photography, where in the editing software, I discovered a graphic design component which I came to love. Most of my graphic design skills are self taught and I am far from an expert. But I have picked up some tips through the years. These were some of the tips I based the foundation of my blog design on.

In researching this post, I visited tons of top bloggers and looked at their designs, comparing them to my own and seeing what similarities they contained. I found a re-occuring theme of 5 key elements every design had in common and from this developed these tips.

Free Ocean Animals Preschool Unit –

One of the first things that comes to my mind when I think of summer is the ocean.

We try to go at least once a year.  Personally, I’m more of a mountains girl, but there’s something to be said about sitting on the beach in the hot sun, listening to the waves crash on the shore.

But then there’s having to clean sand out of every crevice of your body too, so…

We always make a trip to the aquarium also.  I’ve always found sea life so fascinating.  It’s like this entire different world exists below the water.  So needless to say, I had a lot of fun planning this week’s lessons all centering around ocean animals!

Letter K Lesson Plan – Free Preschool Weekly lesson plan – Letter of the week (11)

****Guess what?!  Letter of the Week lesson plans are getting an overhaul!  I’m going through and updating all plans, adding new free worksheets and making sure all links are up to date!  I’ve created a bunch of templates too for some of the crafts that’ll make your life a lot easier!  Hang tight!  It may take some time to get through all the letters, but it’s coming soon!!  If you’re seeing this message, this post has already been updated!***

I’ve always hated silent letters.

I mean try explaining to a 5-year-old why some letters are silent and some aren’t.  The English language has so many caveats and complexity and it can be difficult for children to understand.

So this week’s letter is not one of my favorite letters.  That sneaky silent K is one of the hardest to explain. I mean at least E can be a superhero and leap over other letters, or even  buddy up with a sidekick and make a letter say it’s name.  Like a BOSS!
