Of all the Father’s Day gifts I’ve made, I think this is my favorite.
That, my friends, is an adorable candid snapshot of my hubby walking along holding hands with our 2 daughters at the zoo. I’ve always loved the shot. I love how tiny they are and how big and strong he seems. It captures the essence of fatherhood in a simple every day act.
I knew I wanted to use it for a Father’s Day gift, but I didn’t want to use a typical framed picture, so I started brainstorming different ideas and finally settling on tracing it in my design software, and creating a sketch to go along with a sweet quote.
I’ve been trying to successfully trace and cut photos with my Silhouette for some time, but had no luck! I’ve finally got it figured out just in time to make this father’s day gift! Better yet, I typed up a quick tutorial that tells you how!!

This is a super simple vinyl project! I grabbed the beer mug at the Dollar Store and whipped up this quick design in less than 5 minutes.
